Connemara has a long and unique culinary tradition, based on fresh local seafood and Connemara lamb. Clifden has an excellent selection of food shops and a small market of Friday mornings with fresh fish, fruit & veg, locally made goods.

Eat In or Eat Out

Eat In - Fully equipped kitchens facilitate cooking lovely local produce. You can book a private caterer to come in and cook dinner for all of you or order in ready made food from local chefs and/or local delicatessens. Contact us for details of local caterers.

For those lazy evenings you can order from our takeaway menu including a selection of gourmet pizza at @guys_bar_clifden

Eat out - within walking distance of our houses are restaurants, gastro pubs, cafes, delicatessens including our own gastro pub @guys_bar_clifden . Nearby there are a selection of seafood bars, food trucks and interesting food offerings throughout Connemara.

Pre order - You can have groceries, delicatessen orders and ready made meals delivered, prior to or during your stay.

Sunnybank House

Designed to cater for large gatherings of families and friends, the kitchen, larder and BBQ kitchen facilitate cooking and dining in house or on the pool terrace. Alternatively book a local caterer to come in and cook for you during your stay.

Guys Bar Clifden

We also own Guys Bar on Main Street, Clifden, one of the busiest food spots in town. Available to our guests, whether in groups for private dining in the snug or individually for casual dining from our seasonal local menus.
